He cannot judge the danger and will never say \u201eenough.\u201c.<\/p>\n      <p>That&#039;s why the decision is entirely ours. Pirin is not a &quot;walk in the park&quot; - it is the harshest Bulgarian mountain, with cutting karst, waterless cirques and kilometers of treacherous moraines. Three things make it radically different and significantly more dangerous for dogs than the mountains that most owners are used to.<\/p>\n      <div class=\"vbkp-grid\">\n\n        <div class=\"vbkp-card\">\n          <span class=\"vbkp-ico\">\ud83e\udea8<\/span>\n          <h3>The sharp karst and moraines<\/h3>\n          <p>The marble and granite in Pirin are like knives - they cut the soft pads of your paws in just hours of walking. And jumping on the huge displaced stones (moraines) poses a real risk of falling between the blocks and breaking a limb.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n\n        <div class=\"vbkp-card\">\n          <span class=\"vbkp-ico\">\ud83d\udca7<\/span>\n          <h3>The lack of water<\/h3>\n          <p>The high karst parts of Northern Pirin are almost waterless \u2014 the rain sinks straight into the rock. For us, thirst is discomfort; for a dog, overheating can be fatal. On these routes, the owner must carry double the amount of water \u2014 for himself and for the animal.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n\n        <div class=\"vbkp-card\">\n          <span class=\"vbkp-ico\">\ud83d\udc3e<\/span>\n          <h3>The rules of Pirin National Park\u201e<\/h3>\n          <p>Dogs must be on a leash in the National Park. A loose dog could chase a chamois, run into a bear, or get into a deadly collision with the shepherd dogs (karakachanki) that guard the grazing herds. Breed, build, and age determine what exercise is safe. Here are three main groups.<\/p>\n\n      <div class=\"vbkp-tier green\">\n        <div class=\"vbkp-tier-tag\">\ud83c\udfd4\ufe0f<\/div>\n        <div class=\"vbkp-tier-body\">\n          <h3>The native mountaineers<\/h3>\n          <p class=\"vbkp-breeds\">Border Collies \u00b7 Huskies \u00b7 Malamutes \u00b7 Herding breeds \u00b7 Hunting dogs<\/p>\n          <p>Hardy, with excellent condition and thermoregulation. They can handle long hikes and elevation changes. But be careful - even they remain completely vulnerable to cut paws on the sharp karst. Dog shoes are a must for them too.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n      <\/div>\n\n      <div class=\"vbkp-tier amber\">\n        <div class=\"vbkp-tier-tag\">\ud83c\udf32<\/div>\n        <div class=\"vbkp-tier-body\">\n          <h3>Dogs for easy hiking<\/h3>\n          <p class=\"vbkp-breeds\">Labradors \u00b7 Golden Retrievers \u00b7 Beagles and similar<\/p>\n          <p>Great companions for forest and medium difficulty routes, but are susceptible to overheating and often carry excess weight. They require frequent breaks, plenty of water and shade. High, waterless cirques are not for them.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n      <\/div>\n\n      <div class=\"vbkp-tier red\">\n        <div class=\"vbkp-tier-tag\">\u26a0\ufe0f<\/div>\n        <div class=\"vbkp-tier-body\">\n          <h3>Breeds for which high mountains are torture<\/h3>\n          <p class=\"vbkp-breeds\">Pugs, French and English bulldogs, boxers \u00b7 giant breeds \u00b7 miniature breeds<\/p>\n          <p>Brachycephalic (short-faced) dogs breathe heavily and overheat quickly \u2014 altitude is torture for them. Heavy giant breeds put critical stress on their joints when descending. And very small breeds are only suitable if carried in a specialized backpack. These places are not &quot;difficult&quot; - they are deadly for a four-legged friend. The dog does not understand the exposure and cannot judge where the path ends.<\/p>\n\n      <div class=\"vbkp-list-card\">\n        <h3>The Horse and the Little One<\/h3>\n        <p>For us, it&#039;s adrenaline and a panorama. For a dog, it&#039;s a narrow, slippery stone edge that it doesn&#039;t understand. A panicked movement here can kill not only the dog, but also the owner and tourists who pass by in the protected area. This place has no place for an animal.<\/p>\n      <\/div>\n\n      <div class=\"vbkp-list-card\">\n        <h3>Vihren Peak (especially from the Premkata side)<\/h3>\n        <p>Too steep, with marble polished to a slippery finish and a constant risk of falling rocks that hikers above unknowingly knock down on everything below. A climb where the dog is at risk the entire time.<\/p>\n      <\/div>\n\n      <div class=\"vbkp-list-card\">\n        <h3>The Guards and Gaze<\/h3>\n        <p>Alpine terrain that requires hand-climbing and rock ledges in places.
