(Logistics)<\/h2>\n<p><strong>By car to the start:<\/strong> The route starts from the entrance to Pirin National Park above the town of Bansko (Glazne area \/ road to Vihren hut). You can leave your car in the parking lots in Bansko or drive up to Vihren hut (to save the first 3.5 hours of walking), but keep in mind the summer traffic restrictions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Retraction (Very important!):<\/strong> Since the route is linear, you will end 18 km above the town of Sandanski (Popina Laka area). You must have pre-arranged transportation from Yane Sandanski hut to civilization, or book an overnight stay there.<\/p>\n<h2>\ud83e\udd7e Description of the route<\/h2>\n<p>Crossing the <strong>the yellow marking<\/strong> can be divided into the following main stages:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Stage 1: From Bansko to Vihren hut (About 3.5 \u2013 4 hours).<\/strong> The start is in the forest belt above Bansko. The trail runs parallel to the asphalt road, crossing the Banderitsa River. It passes through <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" title=\"Banderishka meadow\" href=\"https:\/\/vbansko.com\/en\/banderishka-polyana-bansko-history-food-guide\/\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"6994\">Banderishka meadow<\/a>, Banderitsa hut and Baykushevata mura to Vihren hut (1950 m above sea level). <em>Note: Many tourists start directly from Vihren hut.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>Stage 2: From Vihren hut to Muratovo Lake (About 1 hour).<\/strong> You walk along the right bank of the Banderishta River. Leaving the spruce forest, you reach Muratovo Lake (2230 m above sea level) \u2013 an ideal place for rest.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Stage 3: The storming of the Banderishka Gate (About 1.5 hours).<\/strong> The steepest part. The trail zigzags through scree to the Banderishka Porta saddle (2623 m above sea level).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Stage 4: Descent through Spano Pole to Yane Sandanski hut (Approx. 3.5 \u2013 4 hours).<\/strong> A long descent begins in the vast circus of Golyamo Spano Pole. You can get water at Banderitsa hut, Vihren hut and from the streams in Spano Pole.
