The custom dictates that men born in the same year (nabor) get together when they are approaching their 50th birthday. They raise funds, dedicate their personal time and, with their own labor, build or restore a fountain in the mountain as a gift to the community and a sign of their friendship.<\/p>\n<h2>The Water Route: Exact Locations of the Best Mountain Fountains in Bansko<\/h2>\n<p>If you want to take a walk combined with tasting the purest Pirin water, here is the best route that starts from the city center and ends in the alpine part of the mountain.<\/p>\n<h3>1. In the heart of the city: The fountains next to the Holy Trinity Church\u201c<\/h3>\n<p>Your journey can start right in the center of Bansko. In the immediate vicinity of the iconic Holy Trinity Church \u2013 a symbol of the city \u2013 are two beautiful stone fountains. It is a massive stone fountain, proudly bearing the inscription <strong>\u201cRECOLLECTION 1974\u201d<\/strong>. This location is perfect because it was built with tourists in mind \u2013 next to it there is a comfortable, massive wooden bench (L-shaped), which offers an ideal place to relax in the cool shade of the centuries-old pine trees. Unlike many other mountains in Bulgaria, the central part of Pirin above Bansko is made up mostly of granite rocks.
