Basic description
Vihren Hut is a massive two-story building with additional bungalows, which operates year-round. It is emblematic of Bulgarian tourism, being part of the international hiking route E4. The building is designed to withstand the harsh alpine conditions, while providing a cozy and warm atmosphere for its guests. The architecture is classic for the high parts of the mountain - stone and wood.
Location
Located on 1950 meters above sea level, the hut is perched on the threshold of the glacial cirque of the Banderitsa River. It is located about 16 km from the town Bansko, with an asphalt road leading to it. The location is strategic – right at the foot of the highest peak in Pirin – Vihren Peak (2914 m).
