Bansko Opera Fest

Bansko Opera Fest 2026 takes place at the end of August, and traditionally the festival is organized under the open sky on the central square "Nikola Vaptsarov" in Bansko. In recent years, for example in 2025, the festival has been held over three consecutive days, usually on the last weekend of August. This event already has a tradition of at least 16 editions and is establishing itself as a significant cultural event that brings together performers and audiences from different countries and offers live opera and classical concerts in the open air.

The more specific timing for 2026 is expected to be around the end of August like previous editions, a practice that has been maintained for over 10-15 years. Each edition lasts for about three days with a cultural program that includes opera-oriented performances and gala dinners. Performances begin in the evening, usually after sunset.

The festival radiates artistic magic under the stars of Pirin and is organized with the support of the Municipality Bansko and the local cultural scene, offering both classical and operatic music under the open sky, making it a unique cultural experience.
