Winter preparation: Mandatory!

If you are traveling to Bansko in winter, chains in the trunk are mandatory (even if you don't put them on). During heavy snowfall, the police stop all cars without chains at the Predel Pass. Also, make sure you have winter windshield wiper fluid (-20°C).
