After a long wandering and growing panic, we decided to head towards Sofia. In the end, however, through a search on the move, we found salvation in Pernik. If you have a truly critical situation, this is one of the safest options.

It turned out that there is a clinic in Pernik that works around the clock for most of the week – for the Ukrainian citizen д-р Бос. We arrived there around 7:30 PM. In addition, the clinic was full of people, cats, and dogs with urgent needs. They did an X-ray, took blood, and reacted extremely professionally. We found out that the dog had a severe intestinal infection of the colon and serious inflammation. Thank God, they fixed the situation, prescribed injections for the next few days, and things ended well.

Therefore, do not rely on just one number – collect a database of all local doctors and call them in turn.
- Look for humanity outside of work hours: Although there is no official 24-hour office, some doctors are responsive. We found a doctor in Razlog who saw us outside of working hours, although he initially did not answer. He examined the dog, put in systems, drops and injections, and the fee was very affordable – 30 leva euros.
