The mountain should be a place accessible to everyone. Guided by this thought, the Pirin National Park maintains the Rollban Alley in the beautiful Dragostinov Chark area. This is a specially built route, fully tailored to the needs of people with mobility problems and families walking babies in strollers. There are no steep climbs, dangerous scree or insurmountable rocks here - only clean air, centuries-old coniferous forests and the tranquility of nature, which are now accessible to literally everyone.

- The Dragostinov Chark area is historically associated with logging in the past ("chark" means a workshop for boards powered by water), but today it has been transformed into one of the largest recreational areas in the country. Bansko.
- This is one of the few projects in the Bulgarian mountains that fully integrates the philosophy of barrier-free tourism.
🚗 How to get there? (Logistics)
Access is extremely easy and convenient. The Dragostinov Chark area is located about 4 kilometers above the town of Bansko. You take the well-maintained asphalt road that leads up to the Vihren chalet (and the ski area). Right next to the road there are designated wide parking spaces that allow easy and safe access for people with wheelchairs. The accessible alley starts directly from the parking lot, without the need to overcome steps or curbs.
🥾 Trail description
The trail is designed as a place for relaxation and a slow walk, rather than a classic mountain hike. The pavement is smooth and wide enough for two strollers to pass each other. The path winds between tall pines and firs, offering deep and cool shade even on the hottest summer days.
Special rest areas have been built along the entire route. You will find massive wooden benches, picnic tables that are designed so that a person in a wheelchair can comfortably approach them, as well as adapted information signs telling about the flora and fauna of Pirin National Park.

⚠️ Important to know
Although the environment is accessible, you are in wilderness territory. Throw away your waste only in designated containers (or take them down with you into town) as the smell of food can attract wildlife, including brown bears, which inhabit the higher parts of the mountain. The facilities are maintained by the park directorate, but if you notice a broken grate on the roller coaster, be careful when crossing.
