Baba Marta's workshop at the N. Vaptsarov Museum“

Traditions come to life: Baba Marta's workshop at the Nikola Vaptsarov Museum„
On the eve of the most Bulgarian holiday, February 27, the Nikola Vaptsarov Museum in Bansko will become a center of creativity and continuity. The Baba Marta Workshop invites young and old to immerse themselves in the magic of old customs and create their own symbols of spring.
In the authentic atmosphere of the museum, a keeper of spirit and memory, we will intertwine the threads of the past with the joy of the present. The emphasis of the event will be on working with natural materials – wool and cotton, just like our ancestors did in this region.
Why is it important to be there?
-
Symbolism and health: We will recall that the white color in the martenitsa is a symbol of purity and new beginnings, and the red color - of health and vitality.
-
Creativity: Everyone will have the opportunity to create a unique martenitsa, putting their imagination and good energy into it.
-
Bridge between generations: The place was not chosen by chance – in the poet's home, stories about old traditions come to life in a new way, connecting us with our roots.
Come and twist the white and red thread together for health and luck! Let's welcome spring with skillful hands and open hearts.
