The Blagoevgrad region, and Bansko in particular, continues to solidify its position as a leading tourist destination in the Balkans. At the heart of this transformation is Grand Hotel Bansko, which is currently undergoing a large-scale and comprehensive modernization. The goal is clear: to transform the site into a five-star complex, meeting the highest international standards for luxury, comfort and functionality.

Why is this important to you: The investment in the Grand Hotel Bansko It is not just a cosmetic renovation, but a strategic expansion that transforms the complex into a year-round center for health, sports and relaxation.

Large-scale expansion and new architectural vision

To meet the requirements for a 5-star category, the hotel expanded its territory by an additional 6 acres. On this new plot, a modern building with a developed built-up area of 5,500 sq m was erected. The architectural solution is focused on the smooth connection between nature and the interior, with the new spaces offering much more light and spaciousness.

The outdoor pool, which is emblematic of the complex, was moved to this new area. This solution not only provides easier access for guests, but also optimizes the flow of visitors within the complex, creating a more intimate and relaxed atmosphere for sunbathing under the Pirin sun.

One of the largest SPA centers in Bulgaria

The main focus of the renovation is the expanded SPA center, which now occupies an impressive 4,000 sq m. Compared to the previous area of 1,500 sq m, Grand Hotel Bansko now offers one of the most comprehensive thermal experiences in the region.

  • Adults Only Thermo Zone: A specially designed adults-only space that guarantees absolute silence and privacy. This area is also open to external clients, making it an ideal place for a one-day detox.
  • Four new thermal pools: Located in the new plot, they have over 250 sunbeds, providing comfort even during peak season hours.
  • Modernized saunas and steam baths: Updated with the latest aromatherapy and halotherapy technologies.

Culinary experiences and family fun

The old restaurant hall has been transformed into a majestic lobby, welcoming guests with a sense of scale and luxury. The new main restaurant is located on the upper level of the newly built building and offers panoramic terraces with incredible mountain views. The space is significantly wider, allowing for the organization of large events and corporate functions.
