This is not just a series of concerts, but a sustainable cultural policy implemented by the Municipality. Bansko and production company "Monte Music".

In this archive material, we will follow the development of the festival year by year - from the timid beginnings to the grand edition in 2025. Here you will find exact dates and titles that were part of the poster.

The Era of Affirmation (2010–2015)

The beginning was set in 2010 year. The idea is to fill the vacuum at the end of August – a period when summer tourists are leaving and winter tourists are still far away. The organizers chose the open space of the central Nikola Vaptsarov Square, despite the acoustic challenges.

The first editions relied on "sure" classics - popular overtures, arias, and ballet miniatures that would be recognizable to the general public.

Key moments from the early period:

  • 2011 (August 27-28): The second edition solidifies the format. Soloists from the national scene participate. The emphasis is on popularizing the genre among the local population.
  • 2014 (August 29-30): A turning point. Visiting for the first time State Opera Ruse with two extremely heavy and large-scale titles – the opera „"Aida"“ from Verdi and the ballet „"Giselle"“. This is the year the festival proves it can do full outdoor productions.
  • 2015 (August 27-29): The festival is expanding to three days. The program includes the ballet „"The Nutcracker"“ and the opera „"Nabucco"“.
