Rila Fun Park opened its doors in 2019 in the picturesque Dedovo area near the town of Belitsa. Although the idea for the park was conceived years earlier, the project was delayed due to road conditions, which were subsequently improved, providing easy and comfortable access. This first mountain park in Bulgaria is not only a symbol of tourism development in the region, but also attracts visitors from different parts of the country and abroad, who are looking for a combination of natural beauty and outdoor entertainment.
Location and accessibility
The park is located 12 km from Belitsa and only 1.5 km from one of the most interesting tourist sites in the area - the Dancing Park. bears. The altitude ranges from 1200 to 1345 meters, which guarantees crystal clear air and great panoramic views of the Rila Mountains. The park is easily accessible by car, and there is convenient and free parking on site.
Main attractions
The most popular attraction at Rila Fun Park is the Alpine Train – a two-seater trolley that moves along tubular rails with a length of 1400 meters (1000 meters of descent and 400 meters of ascent). Everyone controls the speed of the trolley themselves using levers on both sides, and safety is guaranteed and it is not possible to exceed 40 km/h.
The descent takes between 2 and 5 minutes depending on the desired pace, and the ascent back is automatic, without the passengers having to leave the wheelchair. Adults and children over 12 years old (or over 135 cm tall) can descend alone. Children between 3 and 8 years old require an escort.
The carts have special covers, which allows the attraction to be open year-round, regardless of the weather.
