This is not just a trail. This is a legend. If you are looking for adrenaline and a memory to tell your grandchildren, this is your route. The horse is a narrow karst ridge between the peaks of Banski Suhodol and Kutelo.

6. THE SECRET: Hana Cave – The Eye of Pirin

We have to be honest here: Pirin is a mountain of granite and marble, not of “holes” like the Rhodopes. You won’t find illuminated tourist caves here. But if you want to peek under the stone and are looking for unusual sights in Pirin, look for the small cave "Hana".

What is it?

It is more of a rock shelter and a secret that few know about. It is located in the area above Banderitsa hut, on the road to The Kazanites (a detour in the rocks). It is wild, small and offers not so much an underground walk as a unique „frame“ to the world outside. The view from its interior outwards towards the pines and peaks is magical – like the eye of the mountain in which you are the pupil.
