🚌 Transportation advice

During the summer season (July-September) the road to the chalet is closed to private cars between 08:00 and 16:00. The best strategy is to leave your car in Bansko or in a parking lot.“The Shiligarnika”" and use the regular bus to the hut. This way you will save yourself the hassle of parking.

Stages of Transition: Step by Step

Stage 1: Vihren Hut – Muratovo Lake (0:50 a.m.)

We take over the blue tape marking (dubbed yellow at the beginning). The path goes against the flow of the river, with Hvoynati Peak rising to the right. The slope is moderate. Soon we reach Muratovo Lake – one of the most photogenic in Pirin. On quiet days, the sharp Muratov Peak is reflected in it like a mirror.

⚠️ CRITICAL ABOUT WATER: Fill all the bottles from the streams flowing into Muratovo Lake! This is the last water source. to the Sinanitsa hut itself. The next 3-4 hours are entirely outdoors, without a drop of water.

Stage 2: Climb to Banderishka Gate (1:15 p.m.)

From the lake, the trail turns right and begins a steep climb up a rocky slope. The terrain changes – you enter the realm of moraines. Take a deep breath and turn back – the view of Vihren Peak and Todora’s Gate becomes more and more impressive. Reaching the Banderishka Gate (2500 m) is the highest point of the hike. The wind is usually strong here, so bring a windbreaker.

Stage 3: Through the "Big Country" to Sinanishka Gate (1:30 p.m.)

After the gate, the trail cuts through the slopes of Muratov Vrah and Gergiytsa. You walk high above the Spano Pole valley. This is a panoramic “boulevard” with gentle climbs and descents. The feeling of spaciousness is incredible. Follow the blue markings and the stone pyramids.

Stage 4: Descent to Sinanitsa hut (0:40 h.)

Suddenly you reach Sinanishka Gate. The view that opens up is breathtaking – down in the circus the turquoise lake shines, and above it the split peak of Sinanitsa looms. A steep descent follows along sandy serpentines. Here poles are mandatory to protect your knees and balance.

Helpful tips and safety

📶 Mobile coverage

At Banderishka Gate and on the high ridge, the coverage is excellent (4G). The moment you go down to the circus of the hut (behind the "back" of the peak), the signal disappears completely. Warn your loved ones.

⛰️ Climbing to the top

If you have the strength, the climb to Sinanitsa Peak from the hut takes 1 hour. You pass through the “Cleft”. The view from the top is phenomenal, but be careful – the rocks are sheer!

Only for children over 10-12 years old with good physical fitness and experience in the mountains. The distance is not small, and the lack of water is a factor.

It is possible, but it will be very tiring (total 9-10 hours of travel). We highly recommend staying overnight to see the sunset and the starry sky over the lake.
