Located in the very center of the old quarter of Bansko, as a key part of the iconic architectural complex "Holy Trinity", the Tavern "Sirleshtovata Kashta" is a portal to the glorious Bulgarian past. Built back in the distant 16th century, the building boasts its status as one of the oldest preserved buildings in the mountain resort.

Its massive stone walls preserve the memory of the times when the first bank of its kind in Bulgaria, named "Chimera", was housed here. In it, wealthy merchants left their heavy chests of gold for safekeeping before embarking on long and dangerous journeys abroad. The architecture of the house resembles a real fortress, which successfully resisted the raids of various robber gangs. An interesting architectural fact is that the basements hide a complex network of secret tunnels and passages leading to different parts of the city.

The spirit of tradition and musical arrangement 🎶

Today's tavern proudly inherits and continues these ancient traditions. Every dish served, every drink poured, and the overall impeccable service are subtly intertwined with the dictates of the old tradition. Good guests are left in the safe hands of the hospitable hosts, so that they can enjoy delicious food, raise toasts, and have fun from the heart.

The atmosphere is perfectly complemented by live music. Visitors can listen to the wonderful Macedonian song, while the old stones of the building seem to whisper the wisdom of past centuries. As a special highlight of the program, every Thursday the group "Star Merak" plays for the good mood of the attendees, performing extremely authentic local folklore.

The restaurant's cuisine is a true feast for the senses, focused on the unadulterated local flavor. The menu offers an abundance of Bansko specialties, expertly prepared on the grill, as well as classic barbecue. All dishes can be combined with a rich selection of aged wine and premium branded drinks.

Capacity, summer garden and transportation 🌳

The facility welcomes visitors all year round, with the indoor hall having a capacity of 120 seats. This makes it extremely suitable for holding all types of celebrations and gatherings in an authentic setting. For customers arriving with their own cars, convenient parking is provided. As an expression of supreme hospitality, the establishment also offers free transportation to and from the tavern for its guests.

During the warmer months, the fabulous summer garden opens its doors, adding another 80 seats to the capacity of the site. The tables are picturesquely nestled under the thick shadows of centuries-old walnut trees. There, visitors have the opportunity to enjoy the fresh mountain air and the delicious dishes that are prepared on an open barbecue right before their eyes.
