Vihren: The Marble Lord of Pirin – Where Storms Meet Edelweiss
If Rila is the mountain of water and vast views, then Pirin is the mountain of character, of sharp edges and raw, almost frightening beauty. And above all this, proudly and unshakably, rises Vihren.

With its height of 2914 meters, it is the highest peak in Pirin, the second highest in Bulgaria and the third in the Balkans. But dry numbers cannot describe the feeling of standing at its foot. Vihren is not just a peak – it is a marble pyramid that seems to cut through the sky.
